The Three Rules of Blogging

Over the last decade blogging has become possibly the most conflicting and confusing  communication medium.
Unlike traditional media which tends to look outwards, blogging tends to turn inwards and focus in on themselves, blogging, other bloggers and other blogs. As Matthew Ingram said a couple of weeks ago:
the number one rule of the blogosphere is that [...]

Oh yes… another post about Twitter… Stop looking so excited!
I have been using Twitter for about a month now and so far I’m liking it but not addicted. I can to see many of the services’ advantages, but these seem to mainly apply to blogger’s and their readers. Being able to embed my tweets into [...]

Charles Cooper of CNET feels the need to inform everyone that the video was meant to be a spoof. Uh, no shit Charles! Just because it’s a [...]

Commencement

I would like to think of this as my first post on my new blog, Not Waving But Drowning.

Now I have actually already posted on here a few times over the last couple weeks but these where largely personal in nature and/or rants that didn’t really reflect the direction I would like this blog to go in. So I decided to wipe the slate and begin again.
